This day. Wickham in Trouble.

Wickham, proprietor of the Auckland Free Lance had his nose, sererely pulled yesterday by a member of the Frolique Company fpr condemning their entertain* ment before seeing it as " another lot of Yankee trash." Other newspapers speak well of the performance. Wickham did not get an advertisement which is supposed to be the cause of his animus.

Aickin said he thought meet* ings of the Society should be migratory, and not centred at Wellington—in fact eonduoted like the annual assemblages of the British Association of Social Science and other great bodies.
