" Tried and True," Mr W. Beynolds' drama, was produced by the Steele Dramatic Company at the above place of amusement last evening. The piece is worth seeing, is well . played, the language plainly spoken, and the situations,,,, well and carefully presented. The plot of the piece we gave in a former issue. Mr Steele was as usual effective, Mr Beynolds remarkably good, Mr O'Brien in the character of a policeman created considerable amuse* ment, and altogether played the part well, Mr Patterson as mother Wrigley was good, and the other members of the corn-
pany each played their parts carefully. Miss Wilton gave a good representation of the horoinic Helen Burton, and Miss Hudson and Miss Hathaway both acquitted themselves very well. The house was not as good as we should like to have seen it, but probably when the excellence of the company is better known greater patronage will be accorded them.
