The manager now supposes that the quartz intersected a few days ago is the old Vale of Avoca specimen leader, and that the reef will be to hand in a few days. ' ' NEW WHAtJ. The breaking down on the intermediate level yesterday did not give any specimen stone, though it shows an improvement in the lode. The reef shows more copper, and the colors of gold ere more frequent and large. KUBANUI HILL. The lode crossing the face of the 360 feet drive is much stronger than expected, and the progress made is slow. There is over three feet width of strong solid lode heavily charged with pyrites. I have seen no gold, but the indications are certainly very favorable.
