Several' Jews have been arrested near St. Petersburg, charged with Nihilism. It is proposed to liberate 200 political prisoners in St. Petersburg, and 4000 throughout the Empire, and relieve k 11,000 from surfeillance. The Ironclad Peter the Great will be added to the Bussian fleet in the Pacific Ocean . News from St Petersburg confirms the report of the sentence of Chung How, late Chinese Ambassador to the Bussian Court. He will be beheaded. In consequence Bussia haß decided to recall the Charges d'Affaires from Pekin, and to place her subjects in China under the protection of the United States. Fortifications are to be erected at Vladivostock, and in the Amoor generally. A vast L auount of material is to be shipped I '■■■■ thither, including many torpedoes. This ' complication t has postponed the Tekke Expedition. . General Skobeloff will, it is thought, be appointed CommanderinChief on the Busso-Chinese Coast. [ General Melikoff recently submitted a L proposal to the Czar for the establishment ■[of two Houses of Assembly. The Czar ■ appreciated the suggestion, and said he H left further reforms in th; hands of the ■ Czarewitch after bis death. . _ ■ ■ It is reported the Chinese hare driven ■ the Russians back to the Kuldja frontiers, ■ capturing many villages.
