Meeting of the Board of Governors.

A meeting of the Bosrd of Governors of the Thames High School was held this afternoon in the Borough Chambers. L. Ehrenfried, Jisq., presided, and there were also present Dr Kilgour and Messrs Marshall and McCutlough.

Dr Kilgour said that it was through him the meeting had been called. The object was the purchase of a piano for the school, and as it opened to morrow it would be necessary to gt one at once. Mr Owen had recommended one at £33 at G-rigg's.

It was agreed to act on Mr Owen's suggestion.

Dr Kilgour proposed that the foes for music be the same as those charged by the teachers, 30s and £1 Is. This was agreed to.

A letter was received and read by the Chairman from the Corinthian Lodge offering a three years' scholarship. The Chairman proposed ' that the resolution of last meeting re the payment of donors of the three years fees in advance, be rescinded. He moved " That donors of scholarships pay qne year's fees in advance, instead of three," This was agreed to. The Secretary was instructed to write to the Lodge accepting their offer, and conveying tbe thanks of the Board.
