Milboukne, Monday afternoon.

The following particulars of the capture of Ned Kelly are to bandar- Seventy- five civilians had been bailed up by tbe Kellys when the police arrived, which was at three o'clock this morning, wheo fighting was at once commenced. Ned Kelly took to the bush shortly afterwards, but returned at daylight, and again entered into the fray with his mates. They fought* hard, but Ned Kelly received a shot in the groin and was cap* tured. The rest of the gang then made off. A later telegram to the Melbourne Exchange states thai! Ned Kelly is lying at Glenlowan Station mortally wounded.

Jones' Hotel, which is close to the station, is occupied by Dan Kelly, Hart, and Byrne, and all the civilians at the stations, who were bailed up.

A later telegram states tbat Byrne is dead, and all the civilians bare been released by the outlaws.

Dan Kel'y and Hart still occupy the hotel. An incessant firing is taking place between them and the police, but it is expected they will surrender to day. Tbe outlaws are covered with a chain armour to protect them from the shots, and the breastplates worn by the gang consist of ploughshares.

Owing to the outlaws still continuing resistance, the police fired at the hotel which was burned down.

The charred remains of Hart and Dan Kelly were found armoured.. The bodies of Byrnn and a platelayer were discovered. Dau Kelly and Hart were, it is said, burnt after death, but it is not certain whether they committed suicide or were shot by the police.
