Milboukne, Monday afternoon.
The following particulars of the capture of Ned Kelly are to bandar- Seventy- five civilians had been bailed up by tbe Kellys when the police arrived, which was at three o'clock this morning, wheo fighting was at once commenced. Ned Kelly took to the bush shortly afterwards, but returned at daylight, and again entered into the fray with his mates. They fought* hard, but Ned Kelly received a shot in the groin and was cap* tured. The rest of the gang then made off. One of the black trackers received a graze on the head in the encounter. if Byrne Shot-The Outlaw!:

A later telegram to the Melbourne Exchange states thai! Ned Kelly is lying at Glenlowan Station mortally wounded.
Jones' Hotel, which is close to the station, is occupied by Dan Kelly, Hart, and Byrne, and all the civilians at the stations, who were bailed up.
A later telegram states tbat Byrne is dead, and all the civilians bare been released by the outlaws.
Dan Kel'y and Hart still occupy the hotel. An incessant firing is taking place between them and the police, but it is expected they will surrender to day. Tbe outlaws are covered with a chain armour to protect them from the shots, and the breastplates worn by the gang consist of ploughshares.

Owing to the outlaws still continuing resistance, the police fired at the hotel which was burned down.
The charred remains of Hart and Dan Kelly were found armoured.. The bodies of Byrnn and a platelayer were discovered. A reporter, belonging, to the Benalla paper, two children, and the hotel keeper were slightly wounded. The civilians were prisoners the whole of Sunday, and the platelayers were com* polled by the gang to destroy the railway. Ned Kelly has been taken to Benalla. » Mblbouhne, This day. Further Particulars.There is little fresh regarding yester* day's events at Grlenrowan. Ned Kelly has in all thirteen wounds, and 18 shots struck his armour. Dau Kelly and Hart were, it is said, burnt after death, but it is not certain whether they committed suicide or were shot by the police.
