BAROW-DENBY QUARREL.
(To the Editor of tfie Evening Star.)
Sib,—A notice appears in the columns of your contemporary, beating the signature of George Denby, in reply to an absurd tirade which appeared from W. J. Barlow, in a previous issue of that paper. The purport i» that he will engage in combat with single sticks « Voutrance with W- J. Barlow:in the Academy of Music. I was always of impression that Messrs Denby and Barlow were weak minded, and were fit candidates for Colney Hatch, but did not think them capable of making such utter asses of thornselves as it appears they are doing. Their Hnimosity is pursued in such a oontemptible
fashion, that Miere cannot be the spark of ft man about either of them. The idea is rich: —two volunteer officers engaged in mortal combat with single sticks and head guards ! (jK> home you simpletons, and indulge your mutual spleen over a feeding bottle, and do not endanger the respect of the volunteers with such childish and idiotic escapades!—l am, &0., . Voitjktbeb.
