Thames High School.

In order that the parents of children who competed in the recent examination for the scholarship may see the order of merit in which they are placed, we hate gone to the trouble of making a summary of the marks obtained in the various subjects by each candidate. From the following table, the relative positions of each candidate will be seen at a glance. Great praise is due to His Worship the Mayor (L. Ehrenfried, Esq ), and Mr Speight, for the interest taken by them in the cause of higher education, and the substantial assistance afforded in the school by them : —
