Mr Vincent Fyke moved the second reading cf the Part* Process' jns Bill. Messrs Hall, Andrews, Seddon, Bowen and others opposed it as unnecessary. Mr Stevens moved, and Mi* Hurst seconded, an amendment that the Bill be read six months hence. Mr Pyke said tiio responsibilisy of future bloodshed would rest on those who opposed the bill. The amendment was carried on the voices. MOOSHOUSE SERVICES RECOGNITION BILL. Sir George Grey moved the second reading of the iVloorhouse Services Recognition Bill. It proposes to grant him a gold medal, whica would be a free pass on all Government railways for Mr Moor house and his descendants. This, he thought, a great and substantial reward superior to any knighthood or peerage. Hon. J. Hall cordially supported the principle of the bill, and eulogised Mr Moorhouse's services.

Mr Macaadrew supported the bill, which was read a second time and com* mitted.

Mr Murray moved the excision of the provisions that the free pass descend to his heirs. The amendment was rejected on a division by 42 to 9.
