ALBURNIA.
The retorting for the week took place to-day for the handsome yield of 573 ounces gold. At the mine there is no change with the exception of the east drive, 160 feet level. Here the character of the lode has entirely changed with the " heave " alluded to in a previous report. The lode is now -in the footwall, and there is about three feet of quartz in the face looking well for gold. The country is now much easier and the lode far more workable than hitherto.
