AFGHAN AFFAIRS. In the House of Commons, the Marquis of Harrington stated that they hoped to withdraw from Afghanistan in autumn, and that a separate government would be created at Candahar, without permanent occupation, and that the Treaty of Ghandamuk would be abrogated.
Instructions have been sent by the Marquis of Bipon to retain the frontier position.
