A meeting was held last night for the purpose of securing the reading of the Bible in public schools.''"The Bishop of Waiapui presided, and the Beys. St. Hill, Spear, Hoyell, and Penny were present. It was resolved to present a petition to Parliament praying that the Bible may be read without note or comment in schools, A committee was appointed to get the petition' signed; which will be forwarded for presentation to the local members.
