Muncipal mHE COUNCIL of Iho BOROUGH OP THAMES HEREBY GIVE NOTICE X that it is their intention to make a GENERAL RATE of ONE SHILLING in the £ on the Rateable Value of Property within the Borough of Thames ; Also a LIBRARY RATE of ONE PENNY ia the £ on the Rateable Value of such Property aforeasid, and Also a WATER RATE for ORDINARY SUPPLY upon all lands and buildings to which Water is supplied whose rateable value on the Valuation Roll of the Borough of Thames does not exceed twelve pouods ten shillings, a rate of ten shillings per annum; . Exceed twelve pounds ten shillings, but does not exceed on hundred pounds a rate of seven per cent on such value; • Exceedn one hundred pounds, but does not exceed two hundred pounds, a rate of six per cent, on such value ; Exceeds two hundred pounds, but does not exceed three hundred pounds, a rate of five per cent, on such value; Exceeds three hundred pounds, a rate of four per cent on such value ; Upon all lands and buildings to which water can be but is not supplied, situate within one hundred yards from any part of the water works, a rate of one half of the rates above mentioned ; Upon all buildings used as stores and warehouses, or for any purposes other than as dwelling houses, a rate of two and a-half per cent, on such rateable value, . And in respect of the extraordinary Water Supply such rates as may be fixed by any Bye-Law to be hereafter made in that behalf, or as may be agreed upon subject to* any such Bye-Law with any person receiving such supply ; That such Rates will be for One Year, commencing on the Ist day of July, 1880, and that such Rates are payable on the 2nd day of July, 1880, and that the Rate Books are open for inspection of all Ratepayers at the Council Chambers, Thames, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day, from the 3rd to the 17th day of June, 1880.
