The Orchard of 6 acres is securely fenced-off and surrounded with a substantial post and 6-wire fence, and planted with about 600 Choice Fruit Trees all in bearing order, from 8 to 10 years old. A great deal of preparatory work has been done on thiß estate, a considerable portion of the ground being trenched 2 feet deep and drained. Over three tons of bone dust tind manure were used in planting the Trees, all of which are of the choicest kinds most suitable for a successful Orchard, being selected from the bept Auckland Nurseries.
