Naval Brigade Prize Firing.
The firing for the Darling Cup and Mr Ginn's prize of £5 took place this morning. The competition is in three classes, for first, second, and for men who have never won a prize. The result of the shooting up to the present is as follows:— FIKST CLASS. Points. Prize. P.O. J. D. Walker ... 54 —£l 10 0 Lieut. Gordofc ... ... 52 —£1 0 0 Seamau liuckie 50 — £0 10 0 SECOND CLASS. Points. Prize. Curtwright... ... ... 47 -£l 0.0! ■ THIBD CLASS. (For all men who have never won a prize) ' Points. Prize. M.Paul . . ... ... 39 —£0 15 0 H. -Daviea ... ... ... 37 - 0 10 0 Mr Walker in addition to the money prize, has won the Darling Cup for the second time, and if he succeeds in carrying the head of the scores to day, will only require to win it once more to make it his property. The conditions are that the man taking the Darling prize shall win it four times consecutively or five times at intervals. It is fired for quarterly. .In the second class Cartwright takes Lieut. Burton's prize of a writing desk in addition to the raoaey. The firing was on the whole good.
