A meeting of the Railway Commitbe was held this afternoon, for the purpose of preparing statistics to place before the Eailway Commissioners.

Pbofessoe Fbaseb last evening delivered an interesting lecture in the Academy of Music. There was only a spfse att'-ndance, but nevertheless the lecture was enjoyfd by ali who heard it. The subject was "Love, Courtship and Mdii'iage," and was most ably bandied by the Professor. It was the intention of the phrenological lecturer to have discoursed on phrenology, but he substituted tho lecture he gave instead, as being more adapted to the Thames people. The lecturer was s«veral times applauded during the treatment of his subject. At the conclusion, Messrs Alexander and White were examined, and admitted the correctness of the description given. Professor Fraser will remain on the Thames uatil Saturday.
