This day. Shocking Death "fay Burning.
Pariicvlrrs are just to hand of a shocking death that has occurred by burulug at Queen Charlotte's Sound. On Sunday last, Mr Isaac Landoll, of Yallerton run, left home, accompanied by bis two daughters. They procerded in a bout to Oysfcar Bay, where they landed and were joined by a youig man who commenced setting fire to the scrab The two girls being a short time away, Landell call'd to them to come where he was. A strong wind was blowing at the time, and the scrub was burning fiercely. In response to the summons the eldest daughter only came, the other being caught iv the flames before she could effect her escape, and she was burned to death. The father and Flood, seeing the danger the girl was in, rushed to her assistance, but when they reached her she wa9 quite dead, the flesh having become blackened and hard. Great sympathy is felt for Laadell in his bereavement.
