MOANATAIRI.

In the tunnel crosscut from the No. 3 reef a promising leader was intersected last week containing gold bearing minerals. The stone from the reef at creek level east continues to look promising. The reef is three feet thick. A winze has been started on the lode; which at this point is two feet thick and looks well for gold. A payable leader has been met with in the 80 feet level wesf: crosscut. The manager's weekly report is as follows :— Point Russell section—ln driving Creek level east we have a compact reef three feet thick, in which'shows good mineral, and looks promising for. gold. A winze has now been started 60 feet back from I the end where the stuff averaged 2ozt per ton when driven through. The lode here is two feet thick and well defined, showing abundance of mineral. The sinking of this winze will be pushed on so as to prospect the reef downwards, with a view to driving the 100 feet level, and thus open up ground for stopiug. Id one of the quartz broken from here has yet been forwarded to the battery. Tunnel levelThere is no change to report in big re^f or Nonpareil cross-cut. 80-feet level—ln the cross-cat west a * payable leader six inches thick, has been met with. - No. 3 winze sunk from Intermediate level has broken through to No. 2 stopes, thus opening up some large blocks of ground available for stoping. The cross-cat at Tunnel level from foot-wall branch of No. reef has intersected a nice, looking leader three inches thick, containing gold bearing minerals. There is nothing fresh to mention in the stopes, and the general crushing is showing up for a payable return.—l am, &c, Kobi. Comkb.
