WELLINGTON.
Last night. The Government have received a report that pleuro-pneumoniais widely spreading inthe Waikato District. At the JJTautical Court to-day to inquire into the circumstances connected with the accident to the steamer Manawatu, the certificate of John Symons, engineer was . suspended for three months. This day. At the annual meeting of the Public Hall Company, to be held on Monday next a dividend often per cent, will be declared. The balance sheet shows a profit of £1,189. The Secretary of the Customs has decided to extend the system of granting general transfers to the coasting vessels, which have been in use at this port during the past year, to all ports within the colony. The Customs duties for the month of April amounts to £15,025.
