Arrived : s.s. Eotorua from the Bluff. She has missed the outward mail via Suez, which left Melbourne yesterday.
The Orient Company's steamship Sorata, which leaves Melbourne on the 4th of Ma"y, wil! take the Suez mail brought from New Zealand by the Botorua, but which missed the P. and O. steamship Assam, outward .bound yesterday. A ITew Land Sill. At a Cabinet Council held yesterday it was resolved to introduce an amending Land Bill during next session of Parliament, with a view to relieve selectors from the hardships they are suffering under the present law. Melbottbne, Wednesday. Customs revenue for the last year amounted to £1,500,000, being a decrease of £60,C00, compared with the previous year and notwithstanding the increase of taxation. The total value of imports for the year shows a decrease exceeding £1,000,000, and the exports show a falling off of £2,500,000. v Sydney, This day. Vote of Censure. In the Legislative Assembly, Fitzpatrick proposed a motion of censure on the Government for refusing to Legislate on a question of mining on private property. This was negatived by a large majority.
