The Afghans Routed.
Latest news from Afghanistan announces that further fighting has taken place at Ghuznee. The hostile tribes were again assuming a threatening aspect, and General Stewart consequently attacked and dislodged them from the heights surrounding Ghuznee. The enemy have now retreated to the mountainous country beyond the City.
Intelligence has also been received of a resumption of hostilities at Oabul. The Afghans attacked Generals Jenkins and MacPberson at Oharisaib, but after heavy fighting were repulsed with heavy loss. The British loss during the action was trifling.
