AUCKLAND.
This day. Arrived : Te Anau. * At a meeting of the St. Stephen's Orphan Home last night, the report showed that there were 61 inmates. The total income was £961, expenditure £959. The contribution from the Government amounted to £232. The Supreme Court civil sittings opened today. The case of Alexander Smith v. Henry Palmer, an action for £3000 for alleged non-performance of contract is proceeding.
