Aq advertisement appeared in our columns a short time since, announcing the rapidity with whioh the shares in the above company had been taken up. The shareholders in the company met last evening at the Governor Bowen Hotel. Mr J. Brown presided, and among the gentletnefl present we noticed Messrs Lennox, James Brow a, Thomas Dunlop, D. E. Gelli jn, G. A. Buttle, A. Porter, H."J. Lee, H. Newton, and John Watson. Mr P. A. White read thu tdvertiaement convening the meeting He then pro--posed that the company be formed, and that it be called the New Golden Crown Gold Mining Company (Limited); that its capital be £8000, in 80C0 shares of £1 each, 5s paid up. Messrs James Frater, J. B. Morpeth, J. L. Wilson, Louis Ehrenfiicd, and John Brown were elected directors, the number being fixed at five, the qualification being 50 shares, three directors to form a quorum. The Bank , of New Zealand was appointed baukers. Mr F. A. White was appointed manager, pod his place of business, Suortland street, Auckland, wiH bo the registered office of the company. Mr T. L. White was appointed auditor. The annual meeting will be held in the month of April. It was decided that an extraordinary meeting may at any time be called by the directors, or shareholders holding not lesi than one-sixth of the shares in the company. It was also resolved that, at the annual meeting, nine shareholders must be present before proxies can coout. With these variations, and a provision for filling up casual vacancies in. the Board of Directors immediately, the ordinary rules were agreed to. The proceedings concluded with a hearty vote of thanks to the Chairman.
