Last night. THE AUCKLAND RACE MEETING. We append the results of the races which topk place after we went to press yesterday:— ' Hubdle Eace.-—SO soys ;2J miles ; 9 flights of hurdles. " Grey Momus, 1; Harkaway, 2 ; Harold, 3. Time, fast, Bmins 54secs. Autumn Handicap.--100 soys; 2 miles. . Yatapa, 1; Libeller, "2, ; King Quail, 3. This race was well contested ; time 3mins 38secs. A protest was entered against Yatapa for crossing Libeller. Malvern threw his rider (Taylor). Novel Handicap.—so soys ; 1 mile. J. George's Confidant ... 1 E. Gwynne's Tuna ... ... 2
B. Whyte's Barney... ... 3 Magician was scratched. It was a well contested race.
Publican's PuSse. —60 sofs ; 1 mile. This proved to be the best race of the day. Mr Smith again scored a win with his grand mare Maid of Honour. Soukar made a close finish for second place, and Hilarious,, the favourite, finished third. This day. Auckland Race Meeting. Steeplechase.—Baron, 1; Sportsman, 2; Grey Momus, 3, The rest all stuck at the triangular jump.
