A meeting of the High School Board of Governors was held yesterday afternoon. A letter was read from Mr B, J. O'Sullivan, Inspector of Schools, AuckV land, .thanking the Board for the compliment paid him regarding his, services 1 in the late examination, and stating that no expense had been incurred by hist. Mr Louis Turrell, Bolleston street, wrote. asking for the situation to clean oat the schoolroom. The matter was left in the hands of the Secretary to arrange. A list of extras required in the school was read, also a note from tho Headmaster, asking that he might be allowed to procure chemicals, Ac, for lessons on chemistry, as wanted. —It was resolved that M? Adams should be allowed to procure the extras; tha other application was left in the Mayor's hands. After several accounts bad.aeen passed for payment, it was resolved to ask the Bey. Mr Buller's agent<hsra, Mr G. A. Buttle, to lease them an allotment for the erection of offices and gymnastic snparstus. A vote of thanks to Mr E. W. Hollis, who had gratuitously prepared tha necessary plans, Ac, for the alterations to the school buildings, was unanimously passed.
