Liberal Association.

The adjourned meeting of the above body was held last evening ia the Hnuraki Olub Koom. Captain Small (VicePresidunt) occupied the chair. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. A leltsr from the President was read, apologising for his absence, owing, to serious indisposition.

Tii 1' (Secretary of the Canterbury Liberal Reform Association wro/e saying that at a recent meeting of that association the following resolution was ordered t > be printed and forwarded to all the members of the House of .Representatives —f"That, this meeting protests against the seating of Mr .Richardson an member for the constituency of Cbristchurch, as unwarranted by precedent or authority, and utterly repudiate him as the representative of this electorate in Parliament."

This caused some discussion. - Ultimately, however, it was decided on the motion of Mr Hurley, seconded by Mr Home-"" That the President, Treasurer, and Mr Wood be a committee to draw up a petition to the House against tbe verdict of the Parliamentary Committee re the Christchurch election, and asking that the same be erased from the records of the House."

The adoption of the resolution moved l>y the President at last meeting followed, alter which the meeting dispersed.
