CORONER'S INQTJEST.
An inquest on the body of W. Melton, was held at the Exchange Hotel this afternoon before Dr Kilgbur, Coroner, and a respectable jury of whom Mr R. T. Douglas was chosen foreman. The first witness called was Dr Payne, who deposed that he was a duly qualified medical practitioner. He made a post* mortem examination of the body of the deceased. He found the lungs full of air and in au abnormal state, crackling on pressure. The heart was healthy, the left side empty, and the right full of dark blood. The stomaoh was entirely empty.
