Last night. Supreme Court.
Forgingl and Uttering. Lawrence H. Jellings was indicted for forging and uttering a false cheque for £10, at Dargarille, on the Bth March last. Tbe jury returned a verdict of not guilty of fraudulent intent, and the prisoner was discharged. The sittings of the Court will be resumed on Monday. Unlawfully entaring at Oaiaemutu. Alex. Campbell and John Turner appeared in answer to an indictment charging them with unlawfully entering the Ohinemutu Hotel, in December last, and ejecting Mrs llobinson, who had negotiated for the purchase of Mr Isaac Wilson's interest in the Ohinemutu Hotel. : His Houor said the*depositions simply
disclosed a civil trespass in connection with the case before the Court yesterday. He must say that Mr Wilson, who missed punishment because he was charged with too high an offence, deserved the severest censure for an act of the most dangerous character. The prisoners would be discharged.
