The strength, of the partiesThe elections ar« nearly concluded, and the returns so far show that 349 Liberals and 235 Conservatives have been elected, thus leaving a majority of 114 for the Liberal party. 63 Home Eulers, including 25 of the followers of Parnell have been returned to Parliament.

The elections for large boroughs show a gain of 57 seats to the Liberals, and in the counties they have gained 47 seats which formerly were held by Conservatives. The Home Bule Party has gained seven seats.
