The Sugar market is firm. The Hon. James Service addresses his ConstituentsThe Hon. James Service, the Premier, addressed his constituents in Baringheep, in the electorate of Maldon, last night. In the course of his address he said that his programme would be unchanged. The question of reform of the constitution would be the first introduced in Parliament, and he was confident his measure would be carried through during the coming session. The Hon. Mr Service intimated that further reinstalments of "Black Wednesday" victims would be made, wherever the dismissal was proved to have been unjust. j Adelaide, This day. ! South Australian Parliament. 1 The South Australian Parliament will meet for despatch of business on May 27th. Sydney, This day. The City of Sydney has arrived from Auckland. Destructive Fire. A destructive fire occurred at Bathurst last night. The flames were only mastered after great exertions. The Legislative Council, has thrown out the bill introduced by Sir Ajfred Stephens to restrict its powers. Brisbane, This day. Meeting of Parliament. The Hon. Mr Mcllwraith, Premier, who is now at Home, telegraphs that he is unable to leave London until May. The meeting of Parliament is therefore postponed till July.
