A .painter named Cbterill, living at Richmond, Mornington, tried to cut his throalj this morning. His wife was awakened-by hearing a heavy fall on the floor, and she found that her husband had cut his throat. He had been out of work for some time, and had of late been in a very depressed state of mind.

The Duaedia Tragedy. Butler's case has been taken in the presence of a crowded Court. The prisoner, who is undefended, exercised full rights, and challenged two of the jurors.
