A Windfall for the County— £4,500.

By the mail this morning the Thames County Council received a notification from the Government to the effect that a sum of £4,500 had been paid in to thtjr credit. This is indeed a windfall for the Council, and will enable a number of works to be carried out. < We believe that £3000 of this sum is to be spent on the formation of the road through the Komata to Paeroa, and £1500 to improv* the communication to Katakati and Tauranga.
