The fifteenth half-yearly meeting of the South British Insurance Company was held this afternoon. The report states that the increase from fire and marine premiums has been £61,385 14 sd, from investments £5,823 10s 3d, and from transfer fees £5 ss, making a total of £67,214 9s Bd. To which has been added £4,051 9s 9d brought forward from previous half year; total expenditure has been fire and marine losses paid and outstanding £30,909 15b 8d; reinsurance £14,436 19s, and with £5000 dividend paid £63,922 15s, leaving a balance of £7,343 3s 5d from which the directors recommend the payment of a dividend at the rate of 10 per cent, per annum.
