MOANATAIRI.
The weekly report of the mine manager is as follows :—" Point Bussell section.— In driving creek level east the reef is now making, again being 18 inches thick, and showing a little mineral. It has erery appearance of becoming thicker and pro* ductile. In driving east the big reef shows no change, and the same remarks will apply to the Nonpareil cross-cut. B(Meet level. —We have not yet intersected anything in the drive west. A series of leaders have junctioned in the stopes on No. 3 reef. The" workings here are from 10 to 12 feet wide, showing colors of gold and producing payable staff. Intermediate level—The drive east from No. 2 winze shows blotches of gold, and yields payable stuff. A new winze (or No. 3) will be started in a day or two to pick up this leader in the level below by sinking on its course. The drive cast on footwall leader
at tunnel level will, ia a few days break through to crosscut driven from No. 3 to No. 2 reef. The stopes throughout are still producing good payable stuff, and our ■crushing Jis shewing about equal to last return. Martin and partyV tribute having expired, and our stopes coming up underneath them, I have not let this section again. The bottom boaadary of Read's tribute is also put up 60 feefe higher, coniiuing them to surface.—l am,. <fee, R. Comke.
