The Concert.
We desire to call attention to the concert in the Academy of Music to-night, in aid of the funds for the erection of the Elnuaeranga Bridge. By mistake we stated a wrong date in last night's issue. The worthy object for which the performance is given and the capital programme provided, we hope will induce a numerous attendance. A great deal of care has been taken in preparing the pieces for the concert, and we shall be pleased to find the efforts of the fair ladies have'not been in vain. A new feature in amateur concerts will be introduced in the quintette from the Sorceror by Mrs Kilgour, Miss Huutur, aud Messrs Airy, Hilton, and Brown, as it is to be done in character. A dance, will follow the performance.' Mr Wiseman also will reptat his local song on Volunteer matters which was such a success at the concert on Monday evening. We understand Mr Wiseman has had printed—he bearing the entire cost—a large number of copies of this song which will be sold at the concert tonight, the whole of the proceeds to go to the Orphanage funds. We hope to see a bumper house.
