Access will- be available' shortly by means of a bridle road now in course of construction by the Government. The quality of the soil is every where excellent, ! a good deal of it being limestone. Most of l tbe sections are covered with bush, and are a good deal broken; but some undnlating , lands, suitable for the plough, are found here and there. v < "'•■-■ . ' Cofditiohs. , No person can select more than, 320 acres. Deposit of l-20th of the price of the land to be.tendered with application. Payments—Twenty equal instalments, pay* able one each on Ist January and Ist July of eaoh year for 10 years. Improvements—Selector must bring into cultivation not less than one-twentieth of area the first year, one-tenth the second year, and witßin six years must have cultivated onefifth, and effected permanent improvements to the value of £1 for every acre. ' The selector has the option at any time after the first three years, of discharging all his obligations by paying up the balance of the purchase money in one payment, provided he has effected the improvements. Besidenee on the land by the selector is compulsory for a period of six'years from, the issue of license. .
