Haulon, the Canadian sculler, has sent a cable message to Trickett with reference to the latler's challenge to meet him in England. Hanlon says he cannot possibly proceed to England to meet Trickett. The Union Company's steamship Ringarooma arrived to-day from Auckland. Melboubne; Monday. Heavy rain is falling throughout Victoria. The Union Company's steamship Eotomahana arrived last night from New Zealand. Melboubne, Tuesday. The Suez mail steamer Siam has arrived. : Sydney, Tuesday. The Chadernagore, which recently arrived here from New Ireland, where a colonizing party was landed, has after some difficulty obtained a clearance for Liverpool, and will sail shortly for that port. She will, however, again visit New Ireland. Brisbane, Tuesday. An Offering to Justice. Wells, the Cunnumulla bushranger, was hanged yesterday. Adelaide, Saturday. •■: The P. and O.
