High School Scholarship.
The examination for the scholarships offered by the Governors of the Thames High 'School commenced, this morning in the School-room, Baillie street. At JO o'clock 19 candidates were present—Ten young ladies and nine lads. The following are the names -.—Charlotte Murrish, Lilian Souter, Elizabeth Hill,' Rosa Haverfield, Elizabeth Eeary, Emma Scudder, Ada Yon Berne witz, Annie Driver, Jessie Phillips, Isabel Una ; Henry James Greenslade, William G. Edmunds, Henry Keary, John Steward Burns, Patrick Francis Henuessy, Andrew Browning,-James W. Renwick, Walter Brodie, William Sims.
The following gentlemen were present— His Worship the Mayor, Dr Kilgour, Mr W. J. Speight, Mr McCullough, Mr Brodie and Mr Dean.
<■ Dr Kilgour took charge during the forenoon, and the subject for examination was arithmetic.
