NEW WHAU.

The crushing of the specimens and picked stone commenced at the Moana. tairi single stamper to-day. It appears that a breaking down did take place at the mine on Wednesday, and that about 3Olbs of picked stone was obtained. Today being visiting day a large number of persons arailed themselves of the opportunity of visiting the mine. Gold was seen in colors on the floor and a fair show on the western side of the winze.
