Mr Ferguson, one of the directors, informs us that no breaking down has taken place since . the beginning of the week, tho men being engaged in putting in the " dig " in the foot-wall as shooting in the reef at present would disturb the timbers. Quartz, will in all probability be broken down tomorrow.' Ttic shares have a decidedly downward tendency which is not easily accounted for, unless it is that a number of the large shareholders are selling.
