The owners of the Claud Hamilton have been mulcted in £1068 damages for the collision with the steamship Adela in January last. Sydney, Friday. Chief-officer Stephens, of the Union Co.'a s.s. Wakatipu, has been fatally injured on board the steamer, through a sling with a load of nails breaking and the.load falling iuto the hold. Stephens is paralysed, and is not expected to recover.
