A CORRECTION.
(To the Editor of the Evening Stab.)
Sib,—Dr lluxtable could not have read my letter very attentively or he would have seen my meaning at a glance. I believe my dictwn is right, bat I will endeavor to make it plain. I said the child suddenly beoame worse, aad under Dr Calian's treatment she gradually recovered, that is, first from the fits, and then from the bad turn she took, and was. able to drink chicken broth out of a spoon both before and after the/turn. Then again, Dr Huxtable took charge' of the case, the fits having left the child before i he took charge, but not recovering perfect consciousness till after; that ii, she could neither speak nor see anything. I have no wish to detract from the merits of Dr Huxtable, but wish to give every man hia due.—l am, <fee, William Mabtik. Hill street, March 15.
