A Dutchman was recently riding in a, railway tram car, and wanted to get out. When bis street was reached he came to the door of the car, thinking the conductor would stop. As the conductor paid no attention to him he said, " Say, condooctar, you don't stop de car; I rant to ftet out here. 11 The conductor was another Dutchman like himself, and replied, ''Veil, ry don't you Wf so; I can'd sohmell id."
