The weekly report of the mine manager is as follows:—•' The compressed air pipes are now all fixed, and one rook drill was started this morning. The second machine will commence work in the Nonpareil cross-cut on Monday next, when good progress will be made. The 2-inch pipes have been drawn out from old engine shaft and fixed in the Morning Star shaft to supply the drill with water, and also force in air for working with. 80ft level:
We have resumed driving west on No. 1 reef in order to pick up the branches and leaders from No 3 reef in the levels above* " It will also give a more direct means of. transit for the staff, and prore whether the run of, gold has dipped west. Inter* mediate and tunnel lerels: Four stopei are being worked on the different leaders including a ..width of 35 feet; but they > become further apart in going down.
