ALBURNIA.

In consequence of a rumor current ou Saturday night that something important had happened in the low level workings, this mine was visited to-day. In a report published on Friday last the mine generally waa dealt with, and anything referring to the 70 feet level workings would simply be a recapitulation of what was written three days ago. The 160 feet, level being the place the rumor referred to, this portion of the company's workings was of course inspected first. In the western face a mosfcnoticeable change had taken place the lode. On Friday there waa a large quantity of white barreu quartz showing. This has now gone out in the face, and a well-defined, nice-looking reef is showing, very much resembling the quartz of the run in the level above. The face was closely inspected, and though there were some good indications, no gold was visible. The air in the drive was very light, And it was with difficulty that the candles could be kept (burning, so that a color might have been overlooked. Our reporter was informed that some gold had been seen on Saturday. The rise is now making good progress. It is exceedingly probable, taking into consideration the favorable change in the reef that good gold will be come on shortly,- indeed all the indications favor this.
