Turcoman Expedition. The Turcoman expedition, aoder Abdul Romp, is approaching Balkh.. without opposition, and is occasioning great excitement amongst the residents at Cabul. The Turkestan War. ■ ■! The chief of the Turcomans who ha re been resisting the Russians, and who are now, advancing on Balkh, has called upon his countrymen to raise a letry of 60,000 men in order to form a compact army.;;e.;,.:: : \;.; : :; i; .,.:;- ; -;; ; ;.: ?ih^' Turkestan Appeals for Aid. The Turcoman chiefshave drawn up an appeal to India and Persia for aid in their defence of their country against the Russians. They are deficient in artillery and ask for a few batteries in order to successfully oppose the JEtussian column.
