In the Legislative Assembly last night two motions were brought forward by David Buchanan that the Lieut.-Governor should not be allowed to be a member of the Legislative Council, and objecting to the Governor's use of the prerogative of mercy in the. case of two of the. The bushranger who stuck np the National Ba»k at Curomula in the War* rego district last month, has been .tried and sentenced to death.
