CAPE NEWS.

The arrest at Pretorias of Bok, Secretary to the Boers, agitated the residents of the Transvaal, but Sir Garnet Wolsely finally maintained the Imperial policy. The Supreme Court old Act did away with the Volksraw and the President of the Transvaal, making the people subject to the Imperial authority. It is expected the country will soon be occupied by prospectors for gold and precious stones. A Legislature for the Transvaal is about to be created, the Council to consist of the Executive Chief Justice, and six non-official members.

The Beaufort railway is extending three hundred miles from Capetown.
