Barrett, the coptractpr for the tramway and drainage works, was again fined tc day on six informations with having neglected to keep lights burning, on obstructions. He said he bad two men

watching, and it was after 3 o'clock in the morning that the cases occurred, the other being that of a young man badly injured through his horse getting into a hole on the tramway Hue, and he is going to sue Barrett for £500 damages in consequence. The t Sunday trading case was Further adjourned in consequence of a press of illegal fishing cases, but they were nearly all dismissed on a special point, in consequence of the prosecution not producing sufficient evidence.
