DUNEDIN.
Last night.
James Eobertson, a young man, met with suspicious death at the Dumbarton Hotel, four miles from Roxburgh, yesterday. A number of men were harvesting, and the landlord and four commenced card playing- McLoughlin and Eobertson quarrelled, and during the scuffle Robertson received a blow on the head, causing instantaneous death. It is supposed the blow was inflicted with an iron bar. This day. Our Yellow Brethren.
